Liked: Lovely staff, very helpful. Fantastic central location, short walk to Princes Street, Calton Hill, St James Quarter, Waverley Station, tram stops and bus station.

A well-presented private hotel in...

Liked: The bedroom, shower room and resident's lounge. The feeling of spaciousness and the view of the garden.
Disliked: Bedroom was on 2nd floor (52 steps up, with no lift); no rest room on the ground floor. The breakfast was pre-ordered each day and delivered to the bedroom in a brown paper bag with disposable cups, plates and cutlery. No access to he gearden. We would want to see progress made to providing a cooked breakfast with china, glassware and metal cutlery, if we stay again.

Liked: Everything was clean and as we expected. convenient quiet location.
Disliked: The only thing that could be improved was the breakfast. No problem with providing a pre packed breakfast, but it would have been better with proper plates and cutlery.

Superb

Liked: Location was excellent and it was lovely to stay in a beautiful building with lots of character. We looked out onto the garden and could see Arthur's seat from our bedroom window! Room was very spacious and had everything that we needed. Check in and out all very smooth.
Disliked: Pre ordered breakfast items were delivered in a paper bag and left outside the room each morning. This was mostly fine and meant that we didn't have to rush to get dressed for breakfast, but by the 3rd morning we were beginning to feel that we would like some fresher not pre packed items for breakfast.

Stunning Victorian feel hotel

Liked: Beautiful location and stay, the room was gorgeous and the staff was so friendly. The dining and lounge room were nicely furnished as well and views from the room were beautiful
Disliked: Only downside is the walk uphill with luggage to the property and the lack of elevator to get ur luggage up to the room
