Temple Bar Inn

Declined over the last few...

Liked: Close to what we needed. Door man was incredibly helpful and friendly, reception was excellent, shower had good water pressure and the room was clean.
Disliked: The restaurant has severely declined over the last few years. It used to be very good, friendly staff and excellent menu. Now the servers sit at the bar and ignore you playing on their phones and talking to each other. Room was so warm and the windows were not open prior to arrival and was incredibly stuffy. Fan in the room made it tolerable, but not comfortable.

Great location but lacking air...

Liked: The location was great! Walking distance to most places we only used a taxi to get to and from the airport. The room was great! We have 4 twin beds and 2 bathrooms!
Disliked: No air conditioning so it got hot in the rooms, even with the fans running it was warm. And it was too noisy outside to open the windows at night. We did one night and a delivery truck arrived around 4am and unloaded a bunch of noises items...I had to get up and close all of the windows! I thought that the weather in Ireland was cooler so that it would be fine without a/c but I was definitely wrong about that! If we ever make it back to Ireland I will make sure our room has a/c!!!!

Liked: Smack bang in the middle of Temple Bar and close walk to all facilities. Staff were exceptional lending us a phone when we couldn’t use ours. When we leaving, I asked the doorman if he could call us a taxi, however he ran down the street and got one for us! He then loaded all out luggage. Great experience
Disliked: Room was small

Liked: Great location and a very nice hotel. Also we enjoyed the buffet breakfast.
Disliked: The only thing we didn't like was that the room was way too hot, even with a fan in the room on full.

Liked: Booked this for central location. Had to sleep with windows open as hotel had no air-conditioning, very loud street noise. Won't stay here again.
Disliked: No air-conditioning. Very small outdated rooms.
