Liked: It was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly.
Disliked: Better shower pressure

Liked: We stayed at the backpacker our first day in New Zealand. It worked out so well we booked the last night of our trip there....walkable to most areas we needed in Nelson, close to the airport, free parking in the lot or on the street, AND chocolate "pudding" and ice cream every night at 8 PM.

Liked: the most homey hostel i’ve been to on my whole trip. they had hot water bottles and blankets available, a very cosy living room with books and board games, and free chocolate pudding and ice cream every day at 8pm. the staff were so helpful with booking an excursion for me.
Disliked: a bit far out from town (about an 18 minute walk) which is a pain if you don’t have a car
