The Spotlight on Tara Lodge

Stylish Comfort in Belfast’s Vibrant Queen’s Quarter

Tara Lodge is a modern, boutique-style hotel tucked into Belfast’s lively Queen’s Quarter, just a 10-minute walk from the city centre. Known for its warm hospitality since 1998, this sleek B&B offers a quiet, laid-back base with stylish, contemporary rooms and a team dedicated to making your stay comfortable from check-in to check-out. With limited free on-site parking, a central location, and an easy-going vibe, it’s a smart pick for music fans visiting Belfast.

Why Concert-goers love it

Tara Lodge is positioned within walking distance of many of Belfast’s popular music venues, making it ideal for catching a show without the hassle of late-night transport. The location strikes a great balance—close to the action, yet tucked just far enough away to offer a peaceful night’s sleep after the encore. With a 12:00 pm checkout, you can sleep in after a late gig, and the area is well-served by taxis and public transit for easy navigation.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a stylish but chilled-out stay
- Solo travelers heading to a must-see concert
- Couples enjoying a music-filled weekend getaway
- Fans who value a quiet retreat after the show
- Budget-conscious music lovers seeking value without sacrificing comfort

Food and Drink Options

While Tara Lodge doesn’t have a full-service restaurant, guests rave about the delicious breakfast—perfect for refueling after a night out. Plus, the surrounding Queen’s Quarter is packed with walkable restaurants, cafes, and late-night eateries to suit every craving. Room service isn’t 24/7, but the front desk team is happy to recommend great local spots for a post-gig bite.

Nightlife Options

You're just steps from Botanic Avenue’s buzzing bar scene, with everything from laid-back pubs with local brews to trendy cocktail lounges. While Tara Lodge keeps things low-key on-site (no bar or live music), it’s a short stroll to some of Belfast’s most popular nightspots and music venues.

What People Say

Reviews consistently highlight the friendly and helpful staff, immaculate rooms, and excellent location. Guests appreciate the quiet, relaxed atmosphere after a night out and love the easy access to restaurants, bars, and the city centre. Many mention the comfortable beds and how clean and modern everything feels.

Areas for Improvement

The free parking is a big plus, but spaces are limited—first-come, first-served—so plan ahead if you're driving. There’s no bar or restaurant on-site, which might not suit those looking to keep the party going in-house, but the local options more than make up for it.

The Bottom Line

Tara Lodge is a stylish, peaceful base for concert-goers who want a great night’s sleep just a short walk from Belfast’s buzzing music and nightlife scene.

Great Location, great staff

Liked: The hotel is very well located, just 5 minutes from the nearest hop-on hop-off bus station. There are numerous restaurants nearby. Finding a parking space nearby is a bit of a hit and miss. Although the hotel is on a side street, it was still quite noisy all night long due to people shouting in the street. A huge compliment goes to the super friendly, attentive, and helpful staff. They made our stay a memorable experience. We'd especially like to mention the excellent breakfast; the salmon with scrambled eggs was simply fantastic!
Disliked: If there's anything to criticize, it's the lack of water pressure in our shower.

Very good

Liked: Great option for visiting Belfast as it's right in the middle of the Queen's Quarter with lots of eating and drinking options. There's a train station nearby and it's roughly a 10 min walk to the nearest Hop-on-Hop-off Bus Stop.
Disliked: Room was very warm, and provided fan made next to no difference Really odd smell in the bathroom possibly due to there being no ventilation in there whatsoever Description mentions on-site parking but not that there's only 10 spaces, all of which are pretty tricky to get into

Liked: The staff suggested great dinner locations and made breakfast available hours before kitchen opened. They knew I was repeat customer and left cookies.
