Not a very good experience...

Liked: Not a lot, the hotel was very grand, the grounds were beautiful, and it was quiet. The manager's reacted when we raised our concerns, but have since ignored my emails following up on the issues we experienced during our stay.
Disliked: The spa treatment, the spa therapist did not give me privacy to get ready for my treatments, the drink service, we were left to open the bottle of champagne we ordered. The bed bites my niece received from sleeping on the sofa bed. No follow up from the managers on the concerns that were raised.

Very quiet location.

Liked: Room was good although on top floor up a few flights of stairs and no lift in the building. Bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: Drinks were quite expensive.

Liked: This grand, glamorous property is stunning, and I can't praise Taplow House enough! Wendy at the front desk is so kind and friendly, I've become a regular! Now she and the entire staff greet me with a warm hug! The treatments at the spa are divine. The food is delicious. The service is spectacular. The hotel is well-maintained and full of old-world British elegance. The grounds are a gorgeous quiet sanctuary, especially viewed from the sparkling clean whirlpool outside the spa. I can't rave about this hotel and its staff enough!
Disliked: Beware some of the rooms are quite small because of the age and design of this manor home. Pay a little more and upgrade you room if you want a lot of space around you.

Liked: Breakfast was lovely
Disliked: The bed was awful. I booked and paid for a deluxe double room. This states a large double bed. However the bed was tiny! My daughter has the same bed at home which is a small double (I believe we had been given a classic room instead of deluxe double)My partner is 18 stone and I am 9 months pregnant so the bed was impossible to sleep us both. We have both been in bits with our hips and back since!
