Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort, Boerne

Liked: The staff was very friendly and the surroundings were beautiful and serene.
Disliked: The resort bldgs and rooms were nothing fancy. The furniture was outdated and the whole room just seemed older. Beds were comfy and it was clean. I didn't bring shampoo and soap because I figured they would have the pumps in the showers like nicer hotels have. They only had the small sample type bottles in the bath. For the price we paid it should have been fancier. It was just a disappointment because it was a special occasion and we wanted elegant. Not the case here. Also being out in the hills you can expect some insects. We found three in our room.

Liked: The breakfast was good. The restaurant team and guest servies staff were super nice. The main building, reception and restaurant was very nicelyThe walking trail by the disc golf was great. The views of the golf course were lovely from there and the main building. .
Disliked: Our view from room was not great. The rooms were somewhat of a let down. Although spacious in our 2Queen room, just the esthetics of the resort /hotel room buildings were not pleasing to the eye. Just tired, bland and old looking. Now as we walked the trail behind the driving range we saw condo or apartments behind that looked more like we were expecting (From the outside at least)Our room was very dark and hard to see around well unless it was early daylight hours. The chairs were worn out. The walls were paper thin because we were hearing kids upstairs stomping around like elephants morning and night. We could hear the TV next door or upstairs as we went to bed. Probably a poor decision for us to visit during a spring break weekend. We didn't like the drive off the beaten path each time that we wanted to go into Boerne for meals and shopping. The roads are narrow, curvy and bumpy.
