The place is beautiful, pool...

Liked: Friday when we arrived we took advantage of happy hour and the bartenders were amazing. They made our drinks perfect. We had dinner on patio with drinks and the music provided was good. We were celebrating our anniversary this weekend and our waiter, bartenders, musician and everyone made us feel special.
Disliked: Sat was actual anniversary and out experience with bartenders and our waitress complete opposite. Everyone was friendly but service not the same. The wait for drinks was so long & even to order drinks. We would go pickup our own b/c we could see them sitting or go order our own. We understand different bartenders, different taste but it should at least taste like mango when you order a mango drink & when we mentioned it and sent drink back we were told she said she put the mango in it and gave it back. We paid several hundred dollars in food and drinks that wkend & to have to order & serve our self, especially on our anniversary, which no mention of it from staff that night, should never happen. Plus after calling several times here 4 days later I still have not received my itemized receipt from our stay.

Birthday celebration fail!

Liked: The scenery was beautiful
Disliked: The staff was not the kindest, they made a point to make you feel less than if you weren’t a Club Member, and only a resort guest. We were not told we needed wristbands to be at the pool, we spent our first day having fun at the pool without any issues aside from the pool restaurant closing at what seemed to be an early time. The second day, a staff member loudly and aggressively approached us while myself, husband, and children were playing in the pool demanding to see our wristbands. We asked her what she meant and then she told us she would go get us some. I have no idea what difference it made and why she came at us in the aggressive manner she did. We didn’t use towels and brought our own, and we minded our own business and did not bother anyone. Only after I made a comment about feeling racially profiled did she start giving out bands to other guests. My husband is African American and I am Latina.In addition to the rude and unwelcoming staff, the property itself is not in any condition for them to be as snotty as they are. The grounds are unkept and dirty, beehive in the corn hole box, my son was almost stung. They keep the pool music blasting all night long which made for sleepless nights. Our shower had to have maintenance within the first hour we arrived, the bathroom needs a complete remodel, very run down and dirty feeling. The room was so disappointing. Breakfast was decent but about $100.00 for two adults and two children. All staff members we encountered were extremely off putting and rude aside from Nick, who checked us in, and the ladies at La Casada restaurant.After the incident at the pool and how they made us feel so unwelcome, I canceled my dinner reservation for that evening, which was to celebrate my birthday and the whole reason why we were there. Anything I’m missing. The staff also isn’t very informative on telling you about the driving range and how that’s included in your stay. I had to ask about that myself.

Liked: We enjoyed the hill country location and the additional special events that were offered for spring break. Our 3 year old granddaughter loved the Jurassic Park experience at the pool lawn area and live music at the restaurant/bar was nice,
Disliked: Have stayed at the resort several times before and was disappointed in the condition of the golf course but I realize there have been drought conditions the past year. The rooms were showing their age but new club house, restaurant and bar was nice. And please get better lighting at the resort entrance and posted directions. At night it is a VERY dark two lane rural road and the sign pointing the way into the resort has what looks like it has a 60 watt bulb shining on it. Have driven right by it and into private property a couple of times,

Liked: Large room, nice club house
Disliked: Rooms need to be more up to date- old tvs , old furniture and bathrooms- unsafe tubs for older people.
