Superb

Great location, comfy/homey atmosphere

Liked: We booked the 3-bedroom "Winery Cottage", which is situated near but slightly separated from the other cottages.The location is Superb - the cottage is easily accessible but far enough from the road that it was very quiet. More than ample parking, could easily accommodate 3 cars, maybe more.The cottage itself is quirky and sweet - very atmospheric. The bedrooms are separated from each other (no common walls), offering great privacy. Each decorated differently - and the overall effect of the decor was quaint and old-fashioned (like visiting your grandmother). Nice vibe. The surrounding gardens are well tended. There's a formal dining room that seats 8 - and also an undercover outdoor eating area.The kitchen was quite functional - the stove easy to operate, a roomy refrigerator, a very nice selection of dishes and cutlery and plenty of space to move around.
Disliked: The bathroom has an exterior window next to the shower - but has no blind or curtain (only an lacy sheer which does not adequately cover it). As it is, it appears someone standing in the right position out the back would have a pretty good view of the room esp. the shower stall. We draped a bath towel over the curtain rod to block the view. All the other windows have blinds or curtains to assure privacy - so I'm not understanding why there isn't one on that window. The gas fireplace was not working when we were there, which was a little disappointing.

Charming cottage in a quiet...

Liked: The location was great with only a short walk to the main centre of town. The breakfast supplied was great and much appreciated. So much space to spread out and lovely grounds and bbq area. A lovely quiet place to relax and gas fire was perfect to chill in front of.
Disliked: The tv was difficult to navigate. Had trouble getting a station to watch so limited in options. The inside of the cottage was a little dark so had to put on the lights most of the time.

Great Accommodation - Super Comfortable...

Liked: The cottage was very spacious and even though it was on a main road it was very quiet and within walking distance to the fabulous bakery and shops in town. The kitchen was well stocked with breakfast goodies and the beds were really comfortable.
Disliked: A very small thing but it would be good to have some healthier breakfast options like wholemeal toast, healthier cereals and yoghurt.
