Liked: Anyone who comes across Aunt Alma's photos and loves vintage will be blown away by the atmosphere and decor of this hotel. The spacious breakfast room is beautifully decorated with comfortable sofas and chairs from a bygone era. Cushions, rugs, paintings, and all kinds of decorations will make you long for decades past. There is also a living room with games, LPs, and books where you can enjoy a drink and chat with fellow travelers. A select few get to enjoy a hotel room where this atmosphere is continued. Unfortunately, I had a “boring” room with white and gray and no colorful decorations such as cushions, decorations, etc. I was very pleasantly surprised that there is still a manned reception and you get a key... instead of a login terminal and key card. Real contact and immediate answers to any questions you may have! My room was at the back with surprising vies of the DOM cathedral and no streetnoises...
Disliked: I found breakfast to be too ordinary for the price, and you're better off eating at one of the many places the city has to offer. Where it's just a little more unique... It was tasty and fine, but a little too basic.

Disliked: Facilities were older, some mold in the bathroom, clogged drains, little pricey.

Fun hotel with parking close...

Liked: Unexpectedly in a block on a Main Street this hotel was a fun stop in Cologne. Easy access to town 20 mins from centre it has spacious rooms and secure parking for €15. The breakfast rooms are decorated in a ‘Grandma’ style and has to be seen to be believed. A little bit of fun but behind it a well run comfortable hotel.
