This 3-star hotel's attractive original structure dates back to the 1630s. Inside the hotel offers comfortable accommodations with beautiful original features and period charm. With a great location on the main High Street of the historic market town of Stourbridge the Talbot Hotel is situated on the edge of the Black Country with excellent access to the region's major roads. The hotel has good road access to junction 3 of the M5 freeway. The hotel's charming original character makes for a pleasant and fascinating stay. The building's attractive period features include old oak beams stuccoed ceilings the half-timbered black and white rear façade and the old bells used to call the servants. All of the rooms are unique and individually decorated and furnished. Each room is clean comfortable and well equipped with all the modern comforts and facilities you need for a peaceful break.

Great location but wouldn’t stay...

Liked: Location was great.
Disliked: The room was too hot and shabby. There were cigarette burns in the carpet, it stunk of weed and the noise from people in the alleyway outside (it seems to be a cut through?) was really disturbing

Liked: Very comfy bed, clean room and good value for money.
Disliked: A lot of shouting in the corridors and courtyard at night. Not the hotel's fault, but not very soundproofed!

Very disappointing. Old and tatty

Liked: On the main street. Friendly, helpful staff.
Disliked: Room needs refurbishment as well as en suite bathroom. Shower dirty under the sliding door and water outlet. TV doesn't have BBC, ITV or any main channels except Yesterday and Adult TV. Carpets in corridor needs renewing.

Good value, history of building...

Liked: Staff where helpful and parking was good. Rooms were tidy and clean. The hotel did seem to have a lot children present on the day we stayed and they were quite noisy even late at night.
Disliked: A little noisy from other residents on day we stayed

Excellent. Exceeded expectations and hotel...

Liked: Rooms are very good value for money. Comfortable in a good location.Staff are friendly and sociable.
Disliked: Could do with double glazing, although I know there may be listed restrictions. Noisy pigeons are relentless.Could do with a towel rail in bathroom.

We were looking to staying...

Liked: Location was excellent
Disliked: Recently renovated room, one cup in room for 2 people, shower wouldn’t run hot, no hangers for clothes , no where to hang wet towels and the noise of people coming and going shouting and arguing also the gym at the rear starts playing really loud music from 6am.No bar/ restaurant facilities . Asked for a second cup at reception was handed a cup and was told I would need to wash it.
