Disliked: Upon arrival, I was informed I had to pay an extra £30 which I was unsure about and when questioned, the receptionist continued to tell me I had requested extra to what my receipt said. When showing my receipt and payment, they continued to express I pay more.

Liked: I liked the location. I have stayed at Sydney house many times prior this visit. The hotel is small and intimate
Disliked: Unfortunately the staff. Rooms were not ready, and the male receptionist didn't appear to have any idea of greeting guest, nor was he in the least bit organised, he fumbled and then lost my son in laws 7 evening shorts! It was an honest guest who handed them in to reception. This causal manner of the male receptionist caused unacceptable stress, we were in London to celebrate my late husbands birthday. Although the shorts were returned, it left a bad taste. I appreciate that sometimes that mistakes can occur, but there was no urgency I locating the missing items, the evening staff felt helpless as she couldn't get a response from the male receptionist when she tried to contact them .There was also no working telephone in the room, also only one bathrobe.This is the first time I have had to complain about the service, disappointing to be honest.I would stay again, I hope my review will be received with positivity .

Liked: I like this property for its location and minimalist interiors ( a nice change from the victorian style often seen in London) ;).
Disliked: Rooms are in dire need of work, finishes are tired and fittings are worn

A pleasant and comfortable hotel

Liked: I was greeted by a lovely lady working at the reception. My room was clean and comfortable. My breakfast on both mornings was excellent and set me up for the day. I felt very safe in this area.
Disliked: The towel rail in the bathroom heats up to a very high temperature. I burned the skin on my arm and was left with two bar marks
