Cool property, but beware of...

Liked: The staff were all super nice and great! Super cool property built around the ruins and the rooftop view of the opera house and city were incredible. Nice storage in room for my huge backpack.
Disliked: Woof…. The endless school groups were brutal! Every single night I was there, a new school group of at least 50 -75 preteens/early teens ascended on the property and took over. The would hang in the hallways screaming, running around, and slamming doors incessantly. It was their playground and no one seemed to manage them! The property is also extremely loud and not sound proofed in general, I felt like I was sleeping on a ship. There were weird metal banging sounds and sounds of furniture moving all night. Every single night. I didn’t get a good nights sleep once even with ear plugs. Lastly, my bathroom hadn’t been cleaned well when I arrived to an empty room, hair and gunk in the corners and on the floor and around the sink, but the next day I mentioned it to housekeeping and they made it a lot better.

Liked: I liked almost everything, really- staff- facilities- price- location of the hostel- events on offer- view- assistance with luggage storage
Disliked: More like recommendations- Hooks on the walls for coats or towels- Better inform guests to clean up after themselves (there was hair everywhere in the bathroom after one girl stayed there, and it was really unpleasant)- Last year I ordered breakfast, but it wasn't very good, rather sweet. I didn't order it this time, but when I checked to see if anything had been added, it was just hash browns. If there were less sweet things and more plates with cheese, ham, eggs, sausage, and vegetables, it would be great, and I would be happy to pay extra for breakfast.

Liked: Good location, 4 bed female dorm was good and comfortable, staff very helpful and polite, good rooftop bar and ' Thankyou Scotty ' ( Kim Brighton), Kitchen area had everything you needed to cook with and you can also order food from reception if you didn't want to cook.
Disliked: Circular Quay station to Yha there is alot of steps up to Yha, not good when it's raining, after my first walk around I found the train station 'Wynyard ' and it is one straight road and a 7 minute walk to Yha.

Nice view of the harbour...

Liked: I asked for a view of the harbour, which was lovely. The room is simple but clean and adequate. Good shower pressure. Staff were generally helpful. I liked the location in "The Rocks" and near the harbour - probably the best part of this hotel.
Disliked: It was a little pricey, due to the location. Travellers who aren't able to climb up many stairs might not like the location, which is in the Rocks neighborhood, so up a bit of a hill.
