Sycamore Farm Caravan Holiday
Liked: The staff were lovely.Location was greatCaravan was brand new and beautifulLiked the barrier entrance exit to feel secure . Would be nice to have more food accessories on site however lots of little supermarkets close by.
Disliked: The caravan was brand new, and yes, amazing to be the first people in it, yet when I arrived at 4 pm and went into it, it literally wasn't set up. No beds made, dirty floor, screws and beading on the dining table, no TV available just wires on the wall, no connected microwave, no toilet flusher to the main bathroom toilet or bathroom mirror, this was still boxed up. The floor in the lounge had boxes on it with equipment to still be put out in the caravan. There was no hot water as the boiler had not been switched on, and we had no water to the dishwasher connected . Caravan guttering was also on the lounge floor to be fixed to the outside of the caravan. Honestly, I was absolutely shocked. In fact, a bit gutted. When asked what do we do , they had no available caravan on this site for us to be moved to. They said that thought the caravan was ready, but clearly, no one had checked! They said it was a communication error on their part. So they asked me to leave for a couple of hours whilst they tried to prep the new caravan to make it liveable ! I left and went back at 6pm..The cleaners came and said they would hoover and make the beds, which they did, the accountant to the site bless her fetched us utensils and a toaster and kitchen accessories. The manager arrived to switch on the boiler, but however, we couldn't have the bathroom mirror up, and we had no toilet flusher to flush the toilet. It was on order. So manually, we had to put our hand in the toilet system water and push a lever inside to flush the toilet every time we used it. Whilst the caravan was absolutely brand new and beautiful, it literally was not ready to be lived in ! Saying all this and the first two hours being an absolute nightmare, all the staff were so lovely and helpful and tried very hard to put things right. The manager even turned up with a TV from another caravan.
