Lovely Peak District stay

Liked: Good breakfast and nice friendly staff telling us local info and made it feel home and home from the moment we walked in.

Liked: Very efficient staff excellent breakfast and good location

Fabulous room with fantastic views

Liked: The location was superb and the hosts went out of their way to help us, for example we could borrow a map, park our car till we came back from the hike on the last day, breakfast was abundant and fresh.
Disliked: We could hear people next door to us and the stairs are steep if someone had a mobility problem.

We didn’t think it lived...

Liked: Great location. Room was warm. Staff were helpful.
Disliked: Electrical problem in room meant we had to trail an extension cable across the floor. Not offered an alternative room. Shower was temperamental, either very hot or icy cold. Bath panel was damaged too.

Exceptional property with parking

Liked: The location. The food and the friendliness of staff.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Nice handy place to stay...

Liked: Lovely place in a lovely old town. Good tea & coffee facilities. Lovely breakfast. Nice helpful staff. Bed ok. Wi-Fi good.heating warm
Disliked: Only 1 chair. Room a little small. Bathroom dated. Toiletries were cheap. Fan clicked all through the night.small table.

Liked: Friendly staff, nice room good size bathroom, off road parking and a brilliant breakfast.

Comfortable Accommodation

Liked: Very comfortable and clean accommodation. The breakfast provided was amazing. A very good selection of cereals, fruits, and yoghurts to start with and a great selection of mains from the menu. Unlimited tea and coffee as well. The location is great as it is right close to all the pubs and shops and there are many hiking routes you can start off from the accommodation itself, no need to take the car and have the hassle of parking. It is also conveniently located to do other hikes in the area where you are required to drive a bit.The only unfortunate thing was that the restaurant at the accommodation was not open when we went on the Easter weekend due to shortage of staff. It would have been very convenient to eat there (providing we got booking). I would definitely go back to Swiss House B & B in future.
Disliked: Limited parking at the accommodation.
