Lovely old hotel with great...

Liked: The hotel is really lovely overall. The rooms was perfect for our needs with a great shower.
Disliked: The bed was too hard for my liking as were the pillows.The fire alarm went off at 3.30am briefly but stopped as we were getting dressed.

Comfortable and good location

Liked: The location was good, the bedroom was comfortable but a little dated
Disliked: The shower screen didn’t fit so the shower flooded the bathroom. The hotel is a little dated but it’s ok; unfortunately the fire alarm went off at 3:30am but I suppose at least it worked! Breakfast was included and was very good. The leisure facilities weren’t included in the price for Booking.com guests

Perfect place to stay. Warm...

Liked: We can honestly say it is the best hotel we have stayed in for a long time. It isn’t a chain hotel (thankfully) so service is exceptional. We have always found the staff to be so attentive right from the minute you arrive at the reception desk.The atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful and the facilities are outstanding. The food is really nice and always well presented. Bar staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are large cosy and spotlessly clean. This time we also used the tennis court, again a lovely experience partly due to the stunning countryside views (this may also be why I nearly got smacked in the face with a tennis ball a few times!)We really love everything about this hotel and can’t wait to stay again. Sooner rather than later!
Disliked: We like everything about this hotel and grounds.There isn’t anything to mention here ..

An enchanting relaxing stay

Liked: The beautiful and strategic location for visiting the Cotswolds and the elegant yet familiar style of the hotel. The original building where we stayed is very welcoming in perfect English style, and the new structure is impeccable with its restaurants, fitness area, and pool.We appreciated the welcoming and availability of the staff. The room was very spacious and carefully detailed.The gardens and the hills were a beautiful place for walks and for play.We will return! Highly recommended :)

It was okay.

Liked: Liked the gym and the pool. Nice views. Everything was in one place. The room was a good size and we liked the bathroom and shower pressure
Disliked: Lacking modern amenities. Unsure why the only thing that could be plugged in near the bed was the lamp. The room was very warm. No air con. Additional charge for the pool and the gym.
