Disappointing

Disliked: The accommodation was more than adequate, it was clean but small. We were advised that breakfast would be between 7am to 9am. It no-one about and hotel closed hence no breakfast. Considering we were not happy with the meal the night before we went without quite happily. Altogether we would not stay there again. It must be said that all the staff were delightful.

Ideal situation with everything an...

Liked: Ideally situated for anyone walking the Canal. A plain, comfortable, no frills pub with friendly staff, good food and a range of draft drinks. Big area to sit outside with tables, chairs and umbrellas - just right on a hot day.
Disliked: Nothing without spoiling it.

Pleasant

Liked: The staff were lovely and friendly.Breakfast was good, as was the evening meal we had. Parking was easy and it was ideally situated for where we wanted to stay.
Disliked: It was extremely noisy, especially on a Saturday night. It was also too close to the railway with the crossing signals going off constantly.The height of the shower was OK for us, but anyone over five foot seven would struggle.
