Overall it’s a lovely house...

Liked: Built in 1904, the building and lady running it were full of character. We found the manager to be very nice and accommodating
Disliked: They were having a heatwave when we were there and it made the room a bit warm.

Comfortable short stay.

Liked: This is the opposite of a modern "Premier Inn" of "Travelodge" type hotel. It is a semi-detached house with 5 bedrooms and furnishings more typical of an old family home. Very comfortable. If I had wanted a nightcap, there's an extensive honesty bar. I didn't have breakfast so can't comment.
Disliked: It's some distance outside Deal and taxis are not easy to get.

Lovely hotel, tasteful decor, comfortable...

Liked: We stayed here on our 4-days Cantii Way cycling trip. The welcome was very friendly. Safe storage space for our bikes. The hotel is very tastefully decorated (did the Duchess of Sutherland actually live here?). The rooms are lovely and spacious with nice furniture. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom quite small but very clean. The continental breakfast was truly excellent; lots of fruit and superb porridge.
Disliked: It's about 20 minutes walk to Deal and seafront (which we didn't really mind, but may not be great is you have mobility issues).
