Only staying one night was...
Liked: Excellent location
Disliked: No reception, poorly laid out room, particularly for elderly persons with mobility issues, description of the room is inaccurate, it should be pointed out that the entry and exit of the double bed, is over your partner as the room is so small the double bed is hard against the wall , if your a gymnast, it wouldn’t be a problem . It would help if the room was redesigned, and or de-cluttered.

Great place to stay
Liked: The ceiling! The Duke of York is an amazing room, very spacious, lovely fireplace. Hosts were friendly. Location was good.
Disliked: Could go further on the environment theme by using larger reusable bottles for the shampoo ect.

Pleasant
Liked: Location for Southwold was perfect. The room was very stylish. Good quality bedding.Coffee cafetiere very welcome. The bed was comfortable for a single traveller.
Disliked: I didn't find the bathroom at all functional. Initially it looked pretty but when using the bath or shower there was nowhere to put or even perch shampoo, soap etc. The bath is a rolltop so it wasn't possible to stand toiletries around the bath and no shelves or ledges. I was forced to step in and out of the bathtub to reach shampoo/conditioner. Because of the shower design over the bathtub the only option is to install a plastic curtain rather than a solid shower door. I don't want a wet curtain sticking to my wet body as I stepped in and out of the tub so chose not to use the shower. As there are no shelves I was forced to put my toiletries and make-up on the bathroom floor and on top of the closed toilet lid whilst getting ready. It's quite difficult to access the plug sockets so if you want to charge your phone whilst drying your hair the only option was either to unplug the bedside table lamp or pull the teatray unit away from the wall blocking entry to the bathroom. For me, if there isn't room for style and function I'd choose function in a hotel room.I booked that room as it was the only room available at time of booking so I was aware of limited space and I agree that it is doable for a single occupant. But, a couple? They'd definitely struggle.

Lovely old property in centre...
Liked: Excellent location close to High Street, pier and beach. Lovely old house. We had a great time!
Disliked: Guests should be aware there is no reception desk in the property; entry is via a key safe. All went smoothly though as the directions are very clear.

Small room but ok. The...
Liked: The bedroom and bathroom were fine. I liked the special teas and coffees left out.
Disliked: I didn't like the fact that I couldn't get anything warmer than luke warm water out of the shower and the circular shower curtain was a bit ridiculous to be honest. This was not worth £100 per night.
