Liked: Loved the updated bathroom/shower, and the view was great!! Edited to add that we booked a courtyard view online, but were offered an ocean view at the property for an additional $.

My niece and I had...

Liked: Loved the view, loved the balcony and the fireplace the weather was wet so when you can't get out on the beach the balcony is the next best thing. The staff was extra accommodating and even called to check if the room was ok and if we needed anything.
Disliked: The mattress was noisy and a little lumpy firm but with the ocean crashing I slept well. Our shower head was also kind of weak.

Liked: The front desk and staff at the hotel and restaurant (The Mist) were amazing and very friendly!
Disliked: The room's cleanliness was subpar. I found (long) hair in the room that was not mine, especially in the bathroom.

The rate would’ve been cheaper...

Disliked: Room heater broken just like last visit. The sauna was out of order. The steam room was out of order. The maid knocked on our door twice in the morning before checkout time with the do not disturb sign hanging on the door.

This was our 3rd time....

Liked: Upon coming into our room we had a signed card from housekeeping- for our wedding anniversary. That was so thoughtful! Location of the hotel, large free parking, view of the ocean from our room, gas fireplace, coffee pot, LVP floors, but my favorite-the mattress was soooo comfortable! I slept so good. Made coming home to my old mattress horrible. The sunsets were stunning!
Disliked: Smaller tv was difficult to see from the couch. The coach was not as comfortable, it was cold to sit on, made me wish I had an extra blanket to stay warm. Minor details. I would have liked the option for the fireplace to be just the flame but no heat. And if heat needed, longer than 30mins. I felt like I had to keep getting up to turn it back on. Again, minor detail. Not a deal breaker.The fan in the bathroom sounds like it’s dying, probably just old. Our sink drain was very slow. I let the front desk know upon check out. The toilet is older and the seat was chipped. You can tell the room has been revamped and it looks nice- I liked the colors but some details of the paint job and trim (big paint dripping on the desk leg) could be cleaned up to look nicer.
