Surf Side Hotel

Great place.but not helping me...

Liked: Been going for years
Disliked: High tides came in and we decided to leave early due to not trusting a flood to destroy my vehicle. I was kinda hoping to get a little refund back but no. I had to take a $1350.00 loss. I understand the chances but this wasn’t a good stay.

Liked: The location is great. Unfortunately, I booked a king bed, ocean front room, and a 2 queen beds, ocean view room and got the king-ocean front, but the room with 2 queen beds room was in another building, smelled like animals, and had a street view. Clearly not what I paid for. The most frustrating thing was the management’s attitude. They absolutely didn’t care. The only thing I repeatedly heard was “well, we’re sold out tonight”. How about, “I’m so sorry let me see what I can for you”, or “ if something opens up, we’ll notify you” or “let me make it right and compensate you since you didn't the ocean view room you reserved” . The management here is terrible and we will never stay here again.

Liked: Good location near the beach, 2 pools, one indoor and one outdoor. Good breakfast. Complimentary beach chairs to use.
Disliked: Musty, damp odor in the South building. Wifi didn't connect in South building. Bug found in bed the next morning. Limited number of parking spaces nearby South building.

Excellent! Staff made the hotel!

Liked: Always excellent staff. Breakfast food was awesome! Pool very nice, towels provided. Great access to beach. Very pleasant and respectful staff which made the hotel ! Will continue to go back here. Parking lot had very good lighting. Beds comfortable, pillows comfortable. Room well maintained and clean. Ice machine for filling up coolers available.Cookies, and popcorn in the office!

Liked: I like the Maintenance guys they was always working to make everyone have safe walkways and other things around the hotel to make it look good and all staff was working to make sure you had towels or anything we needed our room was always very clean.

Liked: The room was large, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the balcony looking at the ocean.
Disliked: Only one thing - the bed was extremely soft - no support at all.
