Superb
Liked: Front desk staff remembered my name and was very, very gracious and accommodating.
Disliked: The breakfast took almost an hour to serve and was extremely salty.

Not worth the price
Liked: The room was beautiful - spotlessly clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: For the price, I didn't expect to have to pay for both breakfast and parking. Breakfast service was slow, so we wound up just getting pastries and OJ. We usually get a hot breakfast at hotels that cost 30% less. There was a lot of noise coming up the stairwell Saturday evening as we were getting ready for bed. I called guest services and was told there was a wedding party on the second floor, and there was nothing she could do about it. Fortunately, the party quieted down about a half hour later, but if they can't keep party noise from affecting other guests, they shouldn't book them. Finally, the ambient lighting in the common areas was not good. I had to feel for the key sensor to get into the room. I had to lean down to read the elevator buttons. The light fixtures were fashionable, but not very practical.

Great rooms, terrible parking
Liked: Classy, downtown hotel. We were in town for a weekend getaway and I didn't want a big name, chain hotel. I found the Surety on an online site and it looked unique and different. The lobby was warm and inviting. Rooms were clean and updated. Bathroom was clean and shower was big. It was quiet and we were able to walk to the Wells Fargo Arena to see a show.
Disliked: Parking was awful. They had one small parking lot that filled up fast and a parking ramp. It was very confusing. The part that was labeled hotel parking in the ramp also had very few slots that were marked as reserved. We were informed that we could park there, but we had to be out by 8am or get towed. We went to the lower level of the parking ramp, which had no elevator access and when we tried to get out, the arm wouldn't open and we got stuck in the parking ramp for about 20 minutes. We called the hotel and were informed that they couldn't help us and we had to call the parking ramp security, which we had already done. Security told us to hang up and call back and then didn't answer. Eventually, we got ahold of them and we were informed that they didn't even go to the right parking ramp to let us out. We did relay this to the front desk staff who then gave us complimentary parking for the weekend.
