It was a good stay

Liked: The location was near shopping; eateries and oceanfront
Disliked: Elevator was slow

Would never recommend this hotel...

Liked: Ocean front is about the only good thing about the property
Disliked: One elevator that took forever. We ended up walking up to the 3rd floor. It was much faster. That the hotel didn’t follow their own policies. The hotel is supposed to be animal and smoke free, which is why we booked there. Unfortunately we had a room with THREE dogs below us that were also smokers. We contacted the chain directly as well as the front desk multiple times as my child is asthmatic and severely allergic to dogs as well as smoke. The move came directly to our balcony when they smoked! The only solution that was presented was US changing rooms. After we unpacked ourselves and two kids, which wasn’t acceptable. We ended up checking out early. The hotel refunded our last night…..hoping Booking.com follows through with that refund! We had to run to Walmart to buy a swifter to clean the floors they first night. It was filthy!! Housekeeping never visited our room for the duration of our visit so the swifter really came in handy. Although I’ve never had to swifter floors at any other hotel we’ve stayed at so that was an experience. Oh and parking was horrendous at best! Not enough spaces for all rooms. We learned after the first day and went places via car earlier in the day and made sure our car was parked by 5.Swifter pads are included in pics as well as the HUGE bugs inside.

Accomadations were not perfect but...

Liked: Location and staff shower was fantastic
Disliked: Room smaller than pictured kitchen was not fully equipped as advertised

A nice place to stay...

Liked: The location was excellent. The staff was kind and helpful. A great place to stay if you don’t plan to spend much time in the room.
Disliked: Hotel was clean but very dated. The living room area is smaller than it appeared in photos.

Need to update 6th

Liked: Family time at the beach.
Disliked: First the check in was smooth, and the host at front desk was very nice. However the room was NOT big enough for my family of 5 and that included a 4 year old child. The web site had me fooled, the beds were barely a smidge wider then a twin size bed. I paid $1700.00 for this room. There was a couch with a pull out bed. That was more comfy then the actual beds that was in a tiny room together. The private bathroom wasn't private, it was a soon as you opened the door to come in the room. Also the pool was cloudy. So my husband and I went to the office to rent another room for us and the child, we didn't want a suite just a room with a bed and a bathroom, wow almost $1400.00. They wouldn't refund my money so we could go else where and be together as a family on vacation. The 3 of us ended up 17 blocks from the others. The staff at the Holiday Inn express, they was upset the way things was handled. We got a great deal with them and it was amazing stay. The place had 3 pools, a splash pad/lazy river, a wet bar and 4 restaurants on site. A movie theater, kids activities daily too much to list.

Liked: I liked the fact that the apartment was located in the middle of the Lazy River and the Beach
Disliked: Price could come down some
