SureStay Hotel by Best Western Portland City Center

Comfortable beds if not the size advertised; clean; wifi worked in room mostly; door to bathroom coming apart at side seam, with peeling paint. Surprisingly little noise from bar right below our room or from the street outside our window. But didn't get the room as advertised online and the desk clerk couldn't resolve.

Liked: Mostly clean, friendly & helpful staff.
Disliked: Didn't have microwave as advertised online; had to ask for hairdryer.

I booked online and printed out my receipt. Wanted two queen size beds with amenities including fridge, microwave, hair dryer yada yada. Checked in and was disappointed. No amenities. There was nothing I could do and nothing your staff could have done. Would like some kind of restitution other than 'when you book online, you might get just anything other than what you thought you were getting'; as quoted by one of the hotel staff. Sorry, didn't feel safe - seedy part of town.

Liked: Well the price at first it was close to ohsu and I had to have a life saving/altering cancer surgery. We were 3hrs away the day before a very early surgery check in when we got the call the surgery was cancelled.
Disliked: Nothing would not recommend

Liked: The front desk night staff was friendly during check-in.
Disliked: Breakfast was poor — better to remove it if the quality can’t be improved.Rooms were outdated.Morning front desk staff was unfriendly — hospitality should come with a hospitable attitude.WiFi was unreliable and often didn’t work.AC stopped working during the night.Sketchy area — I was concerned about parking my car.It’s better to stay outside the downtown area and use paid parking garages when visiting downtown.

Excellent, Affordable Hotel

Liked: An awesome, helpful staff, decent free breakfast, and very affordable rooms, especially for people staying because of someone being in one of the hospitals.
Disliked: The bar under the main building sometimes had people playing loud music in their cars, but I have sensitive hearing so probably not an issue for most.

Liked: The motel is a short distance to OHSU which made it easy to find. The bed was very comfortable and slept well.The microwave and mini fridge were in excellent condition and came in very handy. The air conditioner worked great. Has great towels! Will defiantly stay there again.
Disliked: The room smelled musty. Almost like a damp basement. I think it may have been coming from the air conditioner.? That was a little disappointing. If not for that I would have given them a 10
