SureStay Hotel by Best Western Portland City Center

Comfortable beds if not the size advertised; clean; wifi worked in room mostly; door to bathroom coming apart at side seam, with peeling paint. Surprisingly little noise from bar right below our room or from the street outside our window. But didn't get the room as advertised online and the desk clerk couldn't resolve.

Liked: Mostly clean, friendly & helpful staff.
Disliked: Didn't have microwave as advertised online; had to ask for hairdryer.

I booked online and printed out my receipt. Wanted two queen size beds with amenities including fridge, microwave, hair dryer yada yada. Checked in and was disappointed. No amenities. There was nothing I could do and nothing your staff could have done. Would like some kind of restitution other than 'when you book online, you might get just anything other than what you thought you were getting'; as quoted by one of the hotel staff. Sorry, didn't feel safe - seedy part of town.

Comfortable Stay at a Great...

Liked: I stayed at SureStay by Best Western Portland City Center on May 28th and 29th and had a pleasant experience overall. I booked a single room with a queen bed, which was clean and came with decent amenities. The hotel’s location was one of its best features—very close to downtown Portland and with the added bonus of free parking, which made getting around very convenient.
Disliked: The price was quite reasonable for what was offered. The breakfast was simple but fair for the cost, and it provided a good start to the day. The only downside was the wireless internet, which wasn’t very reliable during my stay.Despite that, I’d definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to others looking for a budget-friendly option near downtown Portland.

Liked: My room was clean and comfortable. The mattress was comfortable. The location of the hotel can look off putting because of the busy intersection that it is on but it is very walkable to everywhere downtown. The staff was very friendly and the parking was free.
Disliked: The room seemed a little dated but honestly that didn't take away from my stay so it wasn't really an issue.

Liked: The staff were friendly and very helpful recommending different restaurants and attractions. The location was great and the complimentary breakfast was just what we needed.
Disliked: The rooms are what'd you expect for the price. My biggest complaint was that the floor felt damp, we always removed our shoes before entering but the floor felt dirty.
