10 minutes wasted on a...

Liked: We stayed about 10 minutes and left without any recompense for our other 2 nights.
Disliked: After requesting a ground floor room, we were given a room on the 2nd floor - no elevators..all stairs. My wife is still recovering from a pleurodesis and going up those stairs took every bit of effort she could muster. I got her to sit on the bed so that she could recover her normal breathing pattern. hen she normalized, she stood and went to the sink. She screamed. There was a German cockroach in the bathroom sink. I killed it and went down to the office. I gave them the entry cards back and informed them of exactly what I just keyed in here. I told the man that we were checking out...he could keep the 1st night charge because we had checked in. I felt that that was fair. then I asked if he would reimburse me for the remaining 2 nights. "No. I cannot do that. Call Booking.com and see if they will work with you." There was no compassion for my wife having to endure this treatment. Just an "oh, we're sorry". I left with steam blowing out of my ear canals!!
