SureStay by Best Western Salt Lake City Downtown

It was loud and drug infested. There was only a sheet and the bed cover, no blanket at all. The water temperature was way too hot and burnt a hand. Mold in the shower. Towels were too small, only had one wash cloth in the motel. Pretty sure there was prostitutes hanging outside our room. We had to put in ear plugs and turn on the fan to drown them out. Will never stay there again. Almost went somewhere else all together.

Disliked: The gentleman at front desk was very rude. Tried to say I had guest and that ppl was asking for my room. I don't even know anyone in this city, the price was well overcharged for the type or place. 2 star hotel $50-70 I was charged $115 ..

Liked: My husband is in the hospital there in Utah and Surestay is close to the hospital. It also had a pool that my grandson loved.
Disliked: Nothing

Disappointing

Liked: Front desk worker was very nice and friendly. The pool was nice. The coffee in the room was nice. The beds were clean and pillow comfortable
Disliked: The shower had a ball of hair stuck to the wall. The room was cramped. Worker poured chlorine while we were in the pool which was not nice. Scary area with drug addicts making strange noises on the sidewalks. Creepy.

Disliked: Towels were stained. The refrigerator was dirty

Liked: I liked that I only had to stay one night
Disliked: I didn't like that the office manager pretended he didn't know what decaffeinated coffee was and I didn't like that the office manager pretended that he didn't speak English, I didn't like that the inside of the front door was covered with black mold . I didn't like that there was no walk way to the room and that I had to step over unkept shrubbery to access the door.

Disliked: It just seems like an older building on the outside but it was very decent in the interior

Good size room, Shame about...

Liked: Decent size room, the pool looked inviting right opposite us but wasn't available to use, I booked the hotel wanting to swim, no where on the website did it state that it was open seasonally, I missed swimming by a week grrrr, it was hot in SLC
Disliked: The location was not good, it's next door to public housing facility, homeless people loitering along the footpath and we attempted to cross the road but noticed more grotty people ther too,Not the best choice if you are planning going into the city, stay closer in cbd, so you don't have to walk or catch bus or train,
