Disliked: After a long journey in terrible weather it was very, very disappointing to find the restaurant closed at 8pm. Hotel is basic to say the least and not particularly clean. The young girl working both reception and the bar by herself was friendly and helpful enough.

Liked: Staff we spoke to were polite, room was small but had everything we needed. We had an evening meal and breakfast during our stay which were both lovely. The bar and restaurant were eerily quiet which isn’t the hotels fault but not much atmosphere in there, hardly saw any guests (or staff!) the entire time we were there.
Disliked: The towels in the bathroom weren’t clean, had marks/stains on them and were slightly yellow. Bedding was put on the floor outside the room before being changed which seems an odd practice to me, usually cleaners have a cart/trolley so the clean bedding doesn’t touch the floor??

Peaceful and comfortable stay breaking...

Liked: Good breakfast. Peaceful setting on the outskirts of Lockerbie. Close to the garden of remembrance re the plane crash. Great service.
Disliked: Nothing. Unable to comment on the evening meal as we are out with friends in Lockerbie town centre.

Liked: The hotel had a homely feel about it. Family run which added to the comfort of the service provided
Disliked: There was some banging from the 3rd floor, not sure if it was staff quarters
