City hotel

Liked: Good location - city center, close to the main square and port. Good breakfast with a variety of dishes. Attentive and helpful staff.
Disliked: The hotel looks old, antediluvian renovation. Uncomfortable bed with a sliding mattress. Sockets only on one side of the bed. Overall ok for one night.

Great for a touring holiday.

Liked: The hotel is centrally located within easy walking distance of the harbour, shops, etc. The staff are very helpful. The is a good sized balcony on the 2nd floor where you can sit and relax. There is a garage where motorcycles get to park for free. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was adequate and the shower good. Breakfast was fine with the usual choices of food, hot and cold.
Disliked: The coffee isn’t that great.

Exceptional

Small hotel with very friendly...

Liked: Well, the rooms are definitely nicer than what the building suggests from the outside, wooden floors, stylish furniture. This is a tiny hotel with maybe 30 rooms or so over 2 floors, so one can easily establish a more personal relationship with the staff if one is staying long enough. As such guests are asked to select from 3 breakfast time options to assure seating (ca 20 seats available). The staff was very friendly. There is a sauna/jacuzzi but we didn't try it. There is also the possibility to buy snacks and drinks from the reception until 11pm.
Disliked: The breakfast was farily basic, but one still gets the requisite scrambled eggs and bacon. The couch bed in the room for our son had a stone hard matress, the room door let a lot of noise through from the hallway, the bathroom was a bit too small for comfort. But the biggest problem was the noise from the main street outside. We stayed here over a weekend and there is a parking lot across the apt where cars parked for short periods late at night and played loud music. So if you are staying over a weekend and want peace and quiet, ask for a room facing to the backyard.

Good stay for one night

Liked: Central location and very helpful staff. The room was clean and the breakfast had a good variety.
Disliked: The facilities are a bit outdated, not as fresh as they appear in the pictures.

Cosy hotel with free parking...

Liked: Good value hotel with nice free facilities, lounge and sauna.Very tasty breakfast and free tea and coffee 24h, free parking near the hotel, close to the center and harbor view
Disliked: dusty in some places in the room(kettle on the photo)

A perfect stay in Övik,...

Liked: Perfect location, staff were able to assist with a very late check in due to a delayed train. Spacious room and amazing breakfast.
