Bad customer service and room

Disliked: Room smelled musty and doggy.The bed was too small. The toilet didn't flush unless you held down lever.

Have all Super 8's changed...

Liked: Customer service, clean room. I did not complain to the front desk. Great ladies at both check in & check out. I did not want to upset them with my complaints.
Disliked: No rod or hangers provided in room to hang clothing. A wooden rack with three pegs on the wall, but it was too high for my 5' height. The hair dryer was not functioning. The entrance light stitch controlled the sink area & both bedside lamps. If you shut off the entrance switch, the lamps went off, too. The usb port on the lamps for charging cell phones didn't work. No rack to set suitcase on. No ice bucket. I've always enjoyed my stay at all Super 8's. I'm not sure if all have changed or just this one. There was a sign on the room desk stating how much would be added to your bill if items were missing, pillows, bedding, towels, etc. Do all Super 8's have this now or a joke at the Waterloo, IA one. I took a picture if you would like to see it. I have family there with a new baby on the way. In the past, this was my choice hotel. $114 for an overnight stay is great value, but under these new circumstances, I will find other accommodations. Again, the evening & the two morning morning female associates were wonderful.

Disliked: Elec. Outlets needed serviced. Gfci outlet near sink had been overloaded and was burnt out and scorched. Mold in bathroom. Tall weeds growing along building at rear entrance. Abandoned shopping cart right outside rear entrance the whole time we stayed.
