Super 8 by Wyndham Traverse City

We went to Traverse City for a concert and decided last minute to stay over. This motel instantly got our attention with an amazing rate, even on a holiday. We were a little skeptical but were quite impressed with the cleanliness, simple check in process, friendly staff and great location. The beds were clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

Liked: Very clean; conveniently located; great rates.

Disliked: No parking available when we returned from our concert.

A Nice Stay on a...

Liked: The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. The room had new carpet and fresh paint on the walls. New beds and they were very comfortable. Rooms are spacious and breakfast is adequate. Nothing fancy but there are options such as toaster heated pancakes and waffles, cold cereal, oatmeal, pastries, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea and juices. The breakfast area was very clean and cozy. I like that there is a sink and hand soap in the food area.The pool was well maintained. The location of the motel is near several restaurants and about a 20-30 minute walk to downtown TC. There are several beaches in the area. I do recommend this place especially if you are just doing a short stay and don't want to spend much. Some motels are dumps and don't care but this place tried raising the bar and it shows in the details.
Disliked: We did have an issue with our key not opening our door on two occasions but it was immediately rectified on both occasions.The outside could use a little more love, it's a bit drab. But it does make up for it on the inside. I would not call the room dirty because it wasn't but, just a bit more attention to detail in the bathroom wouldn't hurt.

Disliked: nothing against the super Eight grounds, but the area in general could use the city to do some up keepingThere is a comfort Inn next-door that appears to have property that they rent out to individuals who are extremely low poverty and behaving the nefariously outdoors.
