Vivian needs a raise and...

Liked: Vivian was wonderful, professional and friendly at the front desk when I arrived. I realized in about 20 min that I'd forgotten my sunglasses at the front desk. I stopped by on my way to dinner. Vivian was gone. An older, balding, unhappy looking man was sitting behind the front counter. I told him I had recently checked in and had left my sun glasses. He acted like he didn't believe me. I said they were white w/blue lenses and writing on the sides. He acted like he couldn't be bothered. Then I saw them on the table behind him and told him. He picked them up and acted like he thought I was lying and might not give them to me. Another dude was in the lobby and said he remembered me and those were my glasses. So, the unhappy dude gave them to me. Horrible vibe from him. He seemed a cross between a convict and a lousy mob boss. Outside door on side of building - the place for the room key is completely taped up and unusable. This means anyone can walk into the side of the hotel at any time. Walking in that door it smelled of stale smoke. No smoking is allowed, so that carpet really needs to be removed!! Stinks! Room 217: it felt unsafe since anyone could get inside. The TV wouldn't come on but I didn't want to ask that man anything. There was less than a third of a roll of toilet paper and no replacements. No Kleenex either. No plug deal in the sink or shower. Window was open about a foot with no screen. My right hand and arm are in a cast due to surgery. It was extremely hard to close it, but I had no intention of asking that person to come to my room. One positive: I liked that you had a trash and a recycling container. The 'strip' by the bed that's attached to the lamp did not charge my phone by using the USB plug. If you got a regular plug, it worked. I checked the TV remote in the morning and it had no batteries. I saw Vivian in the morning and she was happy, engaging, etc. She asked if I got my glasses back!

Liked: The waffles were fine. Coffee was good. Nice warm shower, air conditioning worked and we were right by Casey’s
Disliked: We had a rough time with the tv. It didn’t want to work. Probably our error

Liked: Terrible experience. Extremely loud. Police called to the motel. Impossible to sleep.
