Liked: Facilities were clean, memory foam bed was very comfortable, all the plumbing worked as it should, the TV and remote control worked well.The clerk at check in was friendly and courteous.
Disliked: HVAC unit was a window unit. The room temperature was fine but I would have liked a little air movement. I tried turning on just the fan, but the a.c. came on and it was too loud. Also, the heat switch was missing. I was lucky I didn't need heat or a.c.

Disliked: My wife and her sister were to stay at this hotel. They got there before 6 pm and were told the room wasn’t ready. By then it was too late to cancel. That’s when they were told the room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. They were not capable of carrying their belongings up by themselves. They were not offered help. That’s when they were told they could cancel their stay. They had no choice but to cancel. Now I come to find out they charged me for the room and denied the refund. I think they did this on purpose. Please check their history.

Disliked: Old and worn. No breakfast; only coffee in lobby.

Poor

Liked: Allowed our small dog ($15 per night). Near Virginia Tech, doggy day care, and restaurants. Price was lower than other nearby motels. Coffee was decent.
Disliked: Cigarette smell in room and hallway. Cigarette burns in blanket in a NON-SMOKING room. Stains in bath tub. Broken places in wall. Rug had peanuts and other food between/beside the furniture

It worked

Liked: The man [owner? Manager?] Was very nice and accommodating in allowing us to check in 3 hours early. The price was very cheap compared to other area hotels on a graduation weekend, with no minimum stay. The fridge was nice plus.
Disliked: Let's be honest. This is a Super 8. One doesn't go here for a 5 star experience. We wanted a place to shower, have a drink and rest our heads later and it served its purpose. However, the "blankets" were so thin they were nonexistent. Bring your own. Likewise, soaps were CRACKER THIN. Like I rubbed that bar into nothing on my washcloth in one shower. Ask for several on checkin or snag some if the cart is out. Our lamp fell apart when we turned it on, but, we weren't going to be sitting reading and the owner/manager removed it quickly.
