Super 8 by Wyndham Kingston

My overall visit was pleasant and I did get a decent night's sleep. I know this is not the best review you've ever had but I'm trying to be honest about it. Thank you.

Liked: My room was close to my vehicle. And I appreciated the continental breakfast the next morning.
Disliked: No fault of the hotel but the man in the room next to me was the loudest snore I have heard.

Liked: Great deal for the price. Room was clean and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Disliked: This is a non smoking property, but it reeks of cigarette smoke. The guest rooms are dirty, carpet that doesn't lay flat on the floor, which is a tripping hazard, curtains are wrinkled, sheets are dingy in color, mold is present in the bathroom. The front desk clerk said my room number out loud 3 times to a packed front desk waiting room, which is AGAINST THE LAW in the state of NY. Rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis. In my 6 day stay, the room was cleaned once. My request for my room to be sprayed with room freshener to get rid of the smoke smell was only done once. The coffee maker was broken in my room, it took 2 days for it to be replaced. My room key had to be re-magnitized every time I went back to my room. I'm shocked that Wydham would put their name on this property.

Liked: Pleasant friendly staff.
Disliked: Slight musty and smoky odor.

It wasn't the Ritz

Liked: The staff was excellent. I had issues with the TV and room key. The night desk manager worked very hard to fix it.
Disliked: The TV was not right, and the room key needed refreshing.

Disliked: There was mold on the bathroom ceiling.

Disliked: Room was of decent size but lousy. Big patches on the ceiling, looks like the table lamps were picked up from a yard sale, terrible. The bathroom sink was really cracked but the bathroom was generally clean. Breakfast was some mini muffins and oatmeal packets, maybe some cereal??. I skipped it. With the 'Wyndham' name on it I thought it would be decent, I would never stay anywhere with the Wyndham name on it.
