Super 8 by Wyndham Hollywood/LA Area

Was a good place. Needed extra towels, and a few extra minutes after check out time - they allowed 10-15 more minutes before you even had to pay for another day. So I was happy with staying there.

Staff was rude and not helpful at all. I wanted to punch the guy in the face.

Disliked: Worst hotel ever!

Overall the experience was fair to poor. Hotel gave false advertising regarding the condition of their facilities. Will not stay there again.

Liked: Unfortunately, I had to make a last minute reservation in LA for a family situation that came during a run of sold-out baseball games that affected all the hotels in the area. So my choices were limited. I had stayed at other Super 8 by Wyndham hotels and found them to be decent but this one was not. It was dirty and felt unsafe for a person traveling alone. The one closer to Dodger stadium is much nicer.
Disliked: Run down hotel in a sketchy part of Sunset Blvd. When I checked out, the bill inclduded a $200 security fee for damages and I asked them to take that off the bill. They refused and I worried that I would be hit with this bill later and have no recourse against their claim. I asked the manager to do a walk through of the room with me and he refused. I know that these fees are not unusual but $200 seemed high and I got the sense that they were try to stick me with it and I would have no recourse later. I know it's LA on a busy weekend but $175 for the room was already enough.

Disappointing

Disliked: This is not a 4 star! The bathroom door was broken from the hinges and so I had to lift and slam in order to shut it. There were dirty q-tips under the desk and burn holes in the comforter. No

Liked: I like the safety and security of the property you couldn’t go upstairs unless you had a key card which was really nice so there’s not random people wandering around the hall , the beds could’ve been a little bit more comfortable, but other than that, there was decent
Disliked: The only thing I didn’t like about was the parking lot which was accessible to any person on the street, and the parking was very narrow

Disliked: The continental “breakfast”, was not even close to being a breakfast. It was a loaf of bread, with a toaster. Also our shower didn’t work, had to tell from desk about it.
