Super 8 by Wyndham Hartford

Room 117. The smoke detector in the room was hanging from the ceiling. The screen to our window was ripped and bent so it did not fully cover the window and we could not sleep with the window open comfortably. The bathroom door was missing the pin that held the door onto the hinge so the bathroom door did not close properly. The bottom of that door pulled away from the door frame. The stay was ok since it was only for one night but I would not return to that location again and I would not stay more than one night for sure.

Disliked: The booking website stated that there was breakfast which caused me to book for $133, it was 2 full size bed in the room. Dirty rags all over the place, holes in the walls, very loud customers arguing. I went to buy burger and on my way back a stayer had blood coming off his shirts and was cussing up a storm in the lobby the cussing was somehow linked to the cussing upstairs which seems to have been his partner, he said to the men at the front desk you better get your people out the hall way before I hurt them and that triggered my anxiety I Ran to my room, I couldn’t sleep my hands were shaking the whole night

Disliked: The hotel was in a bad area. It was old and shabby. Our reservation was for a room with breakfast included. They informed us that they quit serving breakfast at that hotel, but Booking.com still listed it. They did agree to cancel our booking without charge, but told us about another hotel nearby that served breakfast. We went there and found out they didn't serve meals there, as it was an extended stay hotel. We had to go ahead and book a room because it was getting late. It cost us a lot more than we planned at Super 8. We would not recommend this Super 8 to anyone.

Disliked: The smell of cigarette smoke although I requested for a non-smoking room. The smell did interfere with my sleep, unfortunately. The hotel advertised providing breakfast. No breakfast was provided.
