Super 8 by Wyndham Gulfport Near Biloxi

We only stayed one night and it was a nice stay; clean room and comfortable bed.

Liked: The room was very clean and the bed was so very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.
Disliked: The remote didn't work but probably just needed new batteries.

Regretfully, my husband and I will not be staying at America's Best Value Inn anymore. The moment we opened the door, which made an awful noise, we smelled stale cigarette smoke. The next thing was that the room felt damp and clammy. The carpet was damp and dirty. The lamp shades were not only dirty but about to fall apart. The shower rod was about to fall down - it was very loose and so was the towel rack. The towels were clean but were damp, almost wet. The tank for the toilet had been recently replaced and still had the stickers on it. The bath mat and towels said "Hampton Inn", as well as the telephone number. That would not have been a deal breaker - however, we did wonder how they ended up at America's Best Value Inn. With tax, the room cost $85.00. For a few dollars more, we could have stayed at a competitor's motel that did not reek of cigarette smoke and would have been clean with dry towels. I will say that the bed was comfortable with clean sheets and the air conditioner worked. The other appliances worked also (TV, refrigerator and microwave).

Disliked: The pool water was green tinted. All night long the people in the room next to us let their kids run up and down the sidewalk and they were slamming into doors. The smell of weed was atrocious from the time we checked in till we checked out. People blared their music until 1:00 in the morning Even after I heard someone go out and ask them nicely to be quiet. Everything was dirty in the room. Breakfast was a joke. Beds were hard. Lesson learned.
