Super 8 by Wyndham Groton

This was my 3rd stay at his hotel - great location and pricing, and staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my stay - thank you Super 8.

Liked: Staff was very friendly, room was confortable and price was not bad either :-)
Disliked: Staff needs to have better information for customers if they have a car problems - where to go etc., or who to call!

Scary and disappointed

Liked: It was close to where family was staying
Disliked: The motel was evacuated do to bank robbers staying there. After we could return to rooms my room was left open for anyone to get into. My whole floor smelled like marijuanna. There were animals allowed in hotel. I had bites after sleeping in bed……apparently this hotel known for drug activity….,just overall bad experience I expected more from Wyndham

Disliked: Smelled like smoke when walking in , room was run down , not worth the price . Cig burns , they need to update if they had clean bedspreads and bleached the room , then yes charge $35 more , but other than that I felt gross .

Don't stay here unless you...

Liked: The staff member that checked us in was very friendly and worked quickly. Having a grab and go breakfast helped get us out fast in the morning. The air conditioning worked very well.
Disliked: Honestly everything about the building could have been better. When we arrived the lobby smelled VERY strongly of weed like someone had just put out their joint after hot boxing the area for an hour. The singular couch had 4 people crammed onto it with all of their worldly possessions and clearly at least 1 was homeless. As we walked to our room, the door next to us had been broken and the carpet in front had holes worn into it. There was nail polish splattered across the bathroom that had barely been started to be cleaned off and there was rough exposed wood on the front of the sink. The tub was dirty. There were brown spots on the ceiling and a cigarette-sized hole burned into three layers of the blanket on the bed. The lighting was extremely dim as well. The worst was the poor handwriting of the night clerk that caused someone to bang on our door for several minutes attempting to get into our room at 230am because the 6 looked like a 0 and then they left trash outside the door when they left.

Liked: Good central location, very low price
Disliked: Very run down, dirty carpets, furniture beat up and dirty, smelly

Disappointing

Liked: Comfy bed, hot water, good water pressure. Friendly staff. AC worked well. Close proximity to shopping and restaurants.
Disliked: Literally no food or coffee at 9:15 AM. Lots of rust on the lamps In the living area and baseboards in the bathroom. The TV Remote had no backing over the batteries. There was no guide to the TV. Immense smell of marijuana in the entryway of the hotel.
