Super 8 by Wyndham Garysburg/Roanoke Rapids

There were too many things that were not working. The staff was OK, especially the cleaning staff. I would not return.

2-night stay

Liked: There was a fridge & microwave in the room. Restaurants were relatively close (about a mile or so). There was a meager breakfast (ie, 2 types of cereal, english muffins, bread to make toast, bananas, coffee & tea). The motel is right off of the interstate. It’s a good option for the price.
Disliked: My room did NOT have a smoke detector, which really surprised me. I was not aware that a hotel/motel could operate without smoke detectors in all rooms.

Disliked: It didn’t have a gym or pool

A stepping stone

Liked: Located not too deep inside the town its easily accessible

Never again

Liked: Right off 95, very convenient.
Disliked: Very dirty, disorganized (gave us a room someone was already in) unclean bed sheets, room dirty, evidence of bugs, smelly, extremely outdated. Would not recommend even if it is cheap.

Dirty Shower

Liked: The only issue, which overshadowed the clean comfortable sleeping accommodations, was the filthy shower. We had to do a bird bath in the sink. After a long road trip we just wanted to sleep. We checked at dawn.
Disliked: The shower was filthy! So weird because everything else was clean. The shower walls were brown with dirt and the curtain was grimy!

Liked: Very courteous and kind staff, great communication
Disliked: Coffee pot in room would be a wonderful addition
