There were too many things that were not working. The staff was OK, especially the cleaning staff. I would not return.

Great value, clean comfortable room

Liked: For the price we paid, this was a 5-star experience. We were a bit worried after reading previous reviews, but it turns out we had nothing to worry about - the room was large, clean, everything worked - microwave, mini-fridge, wifi, tv. The bed was really comfortable, plenty of hot water in the shower. The breakfast was fine also - coffee, instant oatmeal, cereal, fruit, bagels and english muffins. The lobby area and outside were well-taken care of, lots of exterior lighting, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. For an overnight stay on a long roadtrip, it was perfect - we will be stopping here again on our next drive to Richmond!
Disliked: This is meant as an FYI, not necessarily something we didn't like - if you want fast food, snacks, or groceries before checking in, stop at the Roanoke Rapids exit just three miles, 5 minutes drive away (like we did) to stock up, there is a Shell gas station next to this hotel but everything else involves a drive into the small town of Garysburg, they roll up the sidewalks at 6 PM!
