Super 8 by Wyndham Clive/W Des Moines

I actually didn't even stay there. I checked in, went to an event, stayed somewhere else. I then came back the next morning to get my stuff and check out. I was going to ask for a refund since I didn't stay, but didn't have time to bother with it.

Disliked: The hallway smelled.

Very poor

Liked: Hotel isn't new by any means. Its in a location close to the interstate and plenty of places to eat.
Disliked: I realize you get what you pay for and typically a super 8 isn't a fancy hotel. But this one needs to figure out that no matter what, people want a clean room! We had to switch rooms because the bathroom wasn't clean, there was hair in the sheets of the bed. The refrigerator was dirty. The second room had hair on the floor of the bathroom and the refrigerator and the microwave were dirty. Opened a hand towel to find it is dirty on the inside and there was only one bath towel

Fun and affordable stay!

Liked: Very Nice and Accommodating owners/ staff. Ask and you shall receive, for sure! Compared to other places to stay in DM, this motel is very affordable.... but does lack newness and breakfast was general basics, but highly acceptable! Bed was very comfortable, excellent shower and location is excellent, as is the price.
Disliked: I don't know how to answer this... .as breakfast DID carry all basics.... cereals, toast/yogurt/waffles and even fresh fruit! So, all in all... this was a good place to stay .... and again, very nice owners.

Liked: Convenient to freeway and plenty of restaurants nearby.
Disliked: The room smelled. There were no water cups, no facial tissues, no guest chair(s).

Liked: The breakfast was fine. The room was very nice, and comfortable. I would stay there again.
Disliked: I couldn't open the window.
