Disliked: This hotel stay was due to a family death and at the last minute plans changed and we left a day earlier than planned. The front desk staff said that we had to contact Booking to get a refund. I contacted Booking and they said the property is refusing to refund one day. The front desk staff lied obviously because Booking can't issue the refund, it has to come from the hotel. They obviously have no compassion. This was a very bad situation and they didn't make it any easier.

If you’re looking for just...

Liked: We just went for a night for the University of Illinois homecoming. It was last minute and that was all we could get so we had pretty low expectations. But it was pretty clean and the beds were very comfortable. I did not use the shower, but my friend did, and it seemed powerful. The lighting was good in the bathroom, but the sink was small. But I remembered to bring extra mirrors for us. There is no mirror in the main room. But it had a good fridge. And coffee in the lobby. But the complementary breakfast is basically some bagels. It didn’t matter for us. We weren’t going to eat it but we just thought maybe some oatmeal but they didn’t have it. The main thing was they let us check in early to drop off all of our stuff, and that was very wonderful.
Disliked: The shower could be cleaner, maybe the tub was clean, but when the join has mold in it, you just don’t want to use it.

Hotel rooms met our needs.

Liked: Location was very convenient.
Disliked: Breakfast was sub par even for a continental breakfast.

Not worth the almost $200...

Liked: The breakfast had a shelf saying oatmeal, but no oatmeal. There was no green tea. The only fruit was very green bananas. There was white bread & bagels. Very sad excuse for breakfast. We opted out & went to Bob Evans.
Disliked: The desk personnel had zero personality. The building looked like a 50's/60's motel with bright colors. The interior walls were bright yellow with stains. We were upstairs. The hallway was carpeted with dark carpeting covering a very uneven floor with dips that made you think you would fall into the first floor. The bathroom had a toilet that was very low to the floor. The tub/shower had mold in the corner & along grout with stains of goop in the tub. The bathroom sink had stains in the bowl as did the bathroom walls.
