What a pleasant surprise.
Liked: This was a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly even gave me a small bag of treats. Close to prairie Park which is a great place to walk. Quiet neighborhood and not too far from stores.
Disliked: Can't think of anything I didn't like about this place.

It was somewhere to sleep
Disliked: First room they put us in was dirty. Bed not made from previous guest, garbage everywhere. It clearly didn?t get cleaned from the previous guest. Pool didn?t work and we literally picked that hotel for the pool for the kids to play in. Staffed seemed annoyed to have to check us in and also that the first room wasn?t cleaned. It was almost like an inconvenience that we were there.

Disliked: Running in hallway after 10PM. Again running in hallway at 5AM. Almost like races back and forth.

I guess you get what...
Liked: The local BBQ restaurant was great! (Starbeck's smokehouse). The hotel was also very close to highway 20 (along our route).
Disliked: The pool and hot tub were out of service. This was the main reason that we booked this place and our kids were very disappointed. When we checked out, I asked if we could get some kind of a discount due to this and they said that they couldn't give a discount since we booked through booking.com and if we call them, they can call the hotel and give us a discount that way. I walked out to our vehicle and called booking.com as we drove away. Booking put me on hold and called the hotel to talk to them, but they said nobody was picking up the phone. There were 3 workers behind the desk when we walked out just 2 minutes before, so I'm not sure why they wouldn't answer. Booking emailed them. 3-4 days later I called Booking again. They tried calling this hotel again but nobody answered. They also emailed them again. I'm sure the discount wouldn't be much money, but it's the principal of the thing that annoyed me. It's now been 5 days, so I decided to just write a negative review. I guess its just frustrating to me when companies don't treat their customers right :-(. The breakfast wasn't very good either. I'm not sure how this hotel had such a decent rating if they treat people like that, but I was disappointed. Hopefully that wasn't normal for them.
