Super 8 by Wyndham Bloomington

When we arrived they didn't have the room that I had booked available. I had booked a King bed in a smoking room. Since they didn't have what I booked they offered me two queen beds and told me that when booking online that I'm not going to get what I thought I was booking - that it only meant that I would get what was available. So we took the two queen bed room and were fine with it. It was clean and updated and we were fine with that room. We weren't in there an hour and the front desk called to say that now they have the room I booked available. I told them we were comfortable where we were and it was fine - they then stated that the room we were in was having construction on the ceiling very early in the morning, so we grudgingly moved. The room we moved into was NOT clean - hadn't been updated since like 1912. The bathroom had smoke stains running down the walls from moisture and a huge burn hole in the mattress. We weren't happy. Not to mention that they had NO bottled water whatsoever in the building - not even in a vending machine. There were people "living in the office" - beds in there and all. Kids were at the front desk with the woman working. All in all we will NEVER stay at that Super 8 again. Very displeased with it all in all. On top of that we were at the hotel until 10:30 in the morning; the following day I didn't witness or hear construction on the room they moved us out of. Yuck. Never again!

Disliked: Cleanliness.

Liked: They were very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean. And with all the problems we had they were on it right away. Thank you - it was a good stay.
Disliked: There was no elevator, so we had to carry our bags up the stairs. Thank God we were on the 2nd floor. Also, our room door key wouldn't work to unlock the door - we had to wait until we got back from the concert to get another key.

Bad

Disliked: No free breakfast moldy shower curtain toilet water dripping from the bathroom ceiling moldy food still in the microwave tub was stopped up with hair I had to get a hanger and fish it out then scrub the entire bathroom and a bag taped over the smoke detector

Disliked: had to clean the bathroom when we got into the room, the floors were filthy, had to go back and forth with the front desk to get new sheets, offers laundry but only had one washing machine and one dryer that takes $5 to use, there’s only one plunger for the entire property and when my partner requested it they never brought it up even after going to ask for it multiple times, non smoking property yet when the leave the office in the lobby smoke follows them out of the room

Disliked: our bed had two earwigs in it

Disliked: it was disgusting. there’s stains on everything, an infant could’ve done better patch jobs on the walls. there’s literally painters tape around the inside of the mirror in the bathroom. i was supposed to have a king suite that is advertised to have a couch in it, which i assumed pulled out but regardless it was a couch. when i arrived our king suite had a disgustingly stained rocking chair that looked 40 years old. the power outlets didn’t have covers on them. the window wouldn’t lock, the inside of the shower has me concerned i might contract a disease. it was the nastiest hotel i’ve ever been in. the whole thing smells like wet dog and bo mixed with indian food. the staff was unhelpful and lazy. we thought about just leaving and getting another hotel but it wasn’t financially smart for us to do. i wouldn’t let me worst enemy stay here. this place should truthfully be condemned.

Poor pricing & poor breakfast!

Liked: They would not accept Booking.com price. Their price was $15 higher than Booking.com.Free breakfast was a bottle of juice and a granola bar!!Higher price! Would not accept Booking.com price! Poor breakfast!
Disliked: Nice well lite parking lot, good size room but dated.

Nice people clean room convenient...
