Super 8 by Wyndham Altoona

A wonderful place to stay! Clean, helpful, best front desk service I've had in a long time. Truly treated like a guest!

Liked: The staff. David at the front desk was exceptional - helped out in ways that you just don't see anymore.
Disliked: Not a thing.

I would not stay here ever..... For the price of the stay for a concert, I'm sure there are other places around, much cleaner, that would gladly book you.

Liked: The hotel staff at the front desk was amazing. It was two guys and the one was training the other one. They were so helpful and present. That was the best check in.
Disliked: The place was dirty. The tub would not drain. There were bugs in the bathroom. There were Doritos on the floor under the bed, and not from us. And then in the middle of the night there were bugs crawling on the floor. When I went to the lobby to get coffee in the morning it was empty and when I asked for it the desk clerk was annoyed. And when she was filling it one of the other workers came out and said they were out of oj. We didn't stay any longer.

Liked: Location is good, walking distance to shops and eateries also 2 car hire companies within 10 minute walk. This is our 3rd time staying, staff are super friendly, Dave the manager is great and runs a superb team who all go above and beyond to help your stay be as comfortable as possible
Disliked: Nothing

Very good

Disliked: I pre-register online & still had to do it all over again at check in. The staff said that they still have to have guest check in with all info for their records because I went thru a 3rd party. Although I do understand 3rd party & hotel being 2 different establishments but was very frustrated with having to do twice. So no reason to pre-register it was a waste of time & ridiculous. Hotel was average no complaints. Heads up make sure everyone staying in your room has an ID it is required for anyone in your room not just the person it is registered to

Do what you're supposed to...

Liked: Location was good.
Disliked: Breakfast was a joke. A muffin and orange juice? Do better. And I asked a cleaning lady to please clean my room on Day 3 of a six day stay. It was not done.

Disliked: I don't like the fact that they switched to a grab n go breakfast... And I had to keep resetting my television, the cable box would quit communicating with the tv...

Liked: low price, good location
Disliked: remote didn't work and was not fixed during stay so we had no television. hallway had a funky odor, faucet handle was broken on tub, breakfast was lacking

Liked: Location
Disliked: Filthy, had to check out three rooms before settled on one to stay in; people smoking and arguing right outside near front door; handout muffin & orange juice for breakfast; back entrance didn’t work. Manager was apologetic but said we could cancel if we wanted.Super 8 is right by PNG Park and Altoona Curve baseball. It used to be nice, clean and comfortable. Not anymore, and that’s sad.
