Liked: Great location, very nice modern and updated room. Super clean and very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable price.

Nice stopover for a night.

Liked: The location was simple to get to and area was clean and safe. There were a lot of dining options nearby. The parking lot was large with plenty of parking. The room was clean. There was a split unit ac unit with a remote to easily change the room temperature. There was a ceiling fan to help circulate the air.
Disliked: The ac unit was above the sink which is a little area just outside the bathroom. The air didn't circulate as well as hoped. The bed was stiff and the room was humid.

Stinking Cigarette Smell

Liked: I tried to cancel the reservation but got the run around. The hotel said they couldn't refund that only booking.com had to make the refund. Booking.com denied the refund and said the hotel had to make the refund.
Disliked: Stinking cigarette smoke smell everywhere.

Exceptional

Liked: I came in for a weekend visit with family and booked here completely because of price and location. I was expecting an old roadside motel that was last updated in 1980's. I was wrong. Although from the road it did look like an older roadside motel my room was very nice and obviously recently updated. I used the room solely as a sleeping and showering location, so I don't anything about the pool or breakfast or anything.
Disliked: The entry and exit of the parking lot was basically one direction due to a divided roadway. I had to exit to the right and then drive around a bit and turn around in order to go the direction I wanted. It was a small hassle and not the fault of the motel. Just one of those "one way street" sort of things.

Wish it would have been...

Liked: Very nicely painted on the outside - looks like someone is making an effort. But the smell in the room really overpowered everything.
Disliked: The smell - I did ask the clerk to come smell the room since it seemed like smoke smell. He said it was the cleaning solution and shrugged it off. We were super tired, hadn't planned to be in the area and ended up staying but everything we brought is was saturated with the smell. It had to be smoke. Even our water bottles were super stinky. I grew up in farm area, we had a small farm. I've served in a tactical unit in the army. So I'm not exactly super ???? demanding about smells and a place to lay my head but this was exceptional and the clerk was focused on something else. Definitely didn't want to hear what I was saying. I don't like leaving negative reviews but it was a rough stay.
