Lovely little place, very quiet

Liked: Nice lodge with everything U need. Clean and tidy. Modern. Large parking space. A get away from it all break. Lovely meal at the steam boat. Beautiful views. Lovely shower.
Disliked: Hot tub didn't seem to be fully working but was still nice. No shop and pub didn't open till Wednesday, but a great little break. No mirror in bedroom but there was in the end suite.

Lovely lodge & hot tub,...

Liked: Peaceful lodge in beautiful surroundings, right next to the beach. The lodge is well decorated and furnished. The hot tub was amazing, very large, private and clean. The host Susan lives in the house behind the lodge, she was very friendly, happy to chat and suggest places to go. The summer house is at the opposite side of Susan's house, right on the beach - also a very lovely place to spend time. The lodge itself is located in Susan's garden (clearly divided from the house however with the hot tub in-between), the front of the lodge looks over the field in the opposite direction from the beach. We had a lovely meal at the Steamboat pub, very friendly staff there too. Ideal location if you want to get away from it all or explore that part of Scotland. We brought a car however I did notice a bus service running from the property into Dumfries.
Disliked: No suggestions for improvement, as long as you're looking for a quiet relaxing break away from it all this is an ideal place to spend a few days.

Amazing little cabin tucked away...

Liked: Great location. So peaceful.
Disliked: Nothing really to dislike tbh. My only comment really would be that it hadn’t had a thorough clean. There were cobwebs everywhere and muck and dirt under the sofa and behind the bedroom bedside cabinets but it didn’t make any difference to our stay - we thoroughly enjoyed it and will hopefully return in the summer months
