Liked: Reasonable cost. Bed, shower, tv. Everything worked fine. Good bed, good pillows.
Disliked: Really minimal amenities. No breakfast. Had to go to the office to get some micro bars of soap, and the (very nice) staff seemed perplexed.

Liked: There were good points about this property,1) Location, everything in John Day is within easy walk or drive, of course JD is a small town and every motel in town is perfectly located. 2) Mechanical performance of the room, hot water was hot, AC worked and was cool, mini fridge made ice. 3) Cleanliness, bedding, towels, tub/shower horizontal surfaces were clean 4) Staff was polite and available.
Disliked: There were some points that made this stay disappointing, 1) This is a pretty dog eared facility with paint chipped off corners, unpainted patches on the walls, missing baseboards, loose weatherstripping on the door, chipped furniture, thin crushed pillows, and stained carpet. 2) Cheap amenities, the toilet paper has got to be the thinnest I’ve ever experienced, same with the Kleenex, smallest bar of soap( it would fit nicely in a Barbie Dream House), shampoo bottle to match, coffee maker with just three cups of coffee. For $150 a night you’d expect just a bit more.

Liked: Great location for walking to local restaurants and heritage site. Owners are kind and easy to work with. They allowed dogs!
