Sunnyside B&B is a small Victorian Plowman's Cottage nestled in the ancient village of Bonhill near the River Leven 3 miles from Dumbarton and 5 minutes' drive from the shores of picturesque Loch Lomond. Free parking is available and guests can enjoy easy access to the stunning Scottish countryside. Each room in our 200 year old Victorian cottage although small compared to hotels are far more cozy and homely. They all have inbuilt en-suites which are functional not overly spacious but modern and very clean. Each room features free Wi-Fi a TV an private bathroom with free toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities. A hearty breakfast is served daily in the spacious dining room and cozy guests' lounge. Breakfast includes a full cooked breakfast or Vegan/Vegetarian continental options Scottish porridge kippers fruit juice and hot drinks. Glasgow city center is 17 miles away and Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park is located 45 minutes' drive from the B&B. A variety of golf courses are located nearby including the Vale of Leven Golf Club a 2-minute drive from Sunnyside. We are a 10 minute walk from Alexandria Train Station. Please note Sunnyside bed and breakfast is a warm and friendly family home it is not a hotel or guest house and is subject to normal family routines.

Superb stay and adorable hosts!

Liked: The hosts were absolutely adorable, the flat was really great with everything at hand to make us feel "at home".The breakfast was also exceptional and home made with love!

Incredible B&B

Liked: Frank and Lorraine were adorable and their welcome was very warm. You feel right at home! We slept very well (very quiet!) and we really needed it after all the driving we'd done. The breakfast was delicious, we really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for everything, we'll treasure our memories of you! Warmly from France, Solène and Régine

Brilliant B and B!

Liked: Brilliant place to stay! Lorraine and Frank are the best hosts ever! ... even helping late at night to track down my lost mobile phone! Really comfortable bedroom and lots of little touches. We didn't have the breakfast as we didn't realise it was included...but we defo will next time!
Disliked: Nothing! I can totally understand why this property is so highly rated! The owners clearly want their guests to have the best time!

Exceptional

Liked: The hosts were amazing. Their hospitality was sth out of the ordinary so we wished we had stayed here longer. The haggis and kippers - that we had out of many things for breakfast - has been the best food experience so far in Scotland.

A great place to stay...

Liked: It is often difficult to find a single room while traveling alone. Sunnyside offers a true single room which was comfortable, clean and very affordable. It is in a good location with bus and train services nearby. It took me less than 30 minutes to drive back to the airport. The breakfast was excellent and offered a wide variety of selections including vegan sausage. My hosts were very friendly and made me feel at home. Lovely people. The WiFi was excellent as well
Disliked: The ceiling in my room was a bit low, so if you are an NBA superstar who wants a single room, you might want a different room
