Wonderful Hosts

Liked: Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We were struggling to find our way to our accommodation with our backpacks after a 9-mile walk and called our host. He didn't hesitate to reassure us that he would pick us up and get us settled in and we were so grateful! The made-to-order breakfast was absolutely wonderful. In the morning we needed to get to our next starting point and our host offered to drop us there. Our hosts were definitely exceptional!
Disliked: When I booked our rooms I didn't realize how far it was from the end of our walk and from dining options.

Liked: Frank & Lorraine are great hosts, the rooms were spotless & comfortable. Breakfast choices, service & food quality/portion sizes were all excellent.Others have said the rooms are ‘dated’, they’re not; they’re just fine & it’s a homely experience staying here.
Disliked: Absolutely no complaints whatsoever

Excellent place to break a...

Liked: Easy to find with super hospitable hosts. Lovely double room with a small but perfectly functional en-suite shower room. Use of a lovely sitting room/ dining room to use in the evening with the offer to get food delivered if you wanted. We had an early start so left before breakfast, we were offered 2 alternatives for a cooked breakfast and opted for the packed lunch which was outside our door in the morning.

Liked: Great breakfast. Fantastic access and parking. A great help offering to dry our clothes. Very much appreciate.
Disliked: The most un ergonomic toilet/shower room. Not really acceptable in our view. Very regimented management. Had to be back in for 10.30pm. I understand the need for rules but these should be made CLEAR in the booking conditions or description so that guests can make a judgenent
