Sunny Point Resort

I would not recommend this...

Liked: It is a private resort close to the nature, by the otter lake and hiking trails.
Disliked: First, several of the advertised amenities were completely unusable due to ongoing construction — including the tennis court and pickleball area. There was no mention of this on the resort’s website, which felt very misleading. One of the main reasons we booked this resort was for those facilities.The problems didn’t stop there. The Inn suite we stayed in was noticeably dirty — far from what you'd expect at a private resort. On top of that, there was no streaming TV available, the water pressure was extremely low, and there was no hot water — only cold showers the entire time.We tried contacting the management office multiple times, but there was no response at all. There was no staff on-site during our entire stay, and the office remained closed. For a resort that claims to offer a private and relaxing experience with full access to amenities, the reality was the opposite.

Liked: We stayed in one of the Junior Suites. Some of the best things were: -Easy, contactless check-in/check-out-Fully provisioned kitchen: all your kitchenware - pots, pans, sheets, - is available. -Beautiful view -Impressive amenities -Friendly owners: this is their first season operating the resort, and they were doing a great job. They were already doing work on constructing more buildings. We visited early in the season, so we also benefited from extra privacy and no noise from either of the neighbouring rooms. I can't say how good the noise proofing is during busier times. Overall, I can't recommend the place enough. Thanks to the owners' hospitality and beautiful location, I already look back on this place fondly.
Disliked: Bugs in the room were an uncommon but notable occurrence. This is, of course, inevitable, but we didn't do a lot of coming and going through the doors for the number to make sense. I wonder if it was the screen window? It wasn't intrusive enough to dampen our time, but we did leave with more bug bites than I expected. The fireplaces pictured in the room were unfortunately non-functioning. The AC unit provided worked very well, but the ambiance of a working fireplace was something I was looking forward to.

Liked: It was a cute little suite, The location was good, The view near the lake was great.
Disliked: We had problem with water, not enough running water for a shower.It was clean, but the bed sheets were not so clean.
