Disappointing

Liked: The location was perfect!!
Disliked: The elevator was put out of service because a fire alarm was pulled (we were on the 9th floor)it too 2 hours to get it back running., all of our towels were dirty, they told us they upgraded my reservation to with a balcony, my booking reservation was for a balcony room. Our upgraded room overlooked the dumpster and rooftop that was overflowing with garbage. We slept with the bathroom light on so the exhaust fan ran all night, this was only way to block out the slamming doors and other guests yelling all night. Our lock to slider did not work, and the board provided did not fit. Over all satisfaction rating 3 out of 10

Need to fix the room

Liked: Location is always great, quiet, and close to the beach.
Disliked: Sliding door from bedroom onto balcony was unable to lock, unsafe for family with children. Outlet in main area pulled completely out from wall when trying to unplugged a power cord, completely unsafe for adults or children. Light switches that didn't control anything. The door from the main area onto the balcony was stuck, and that required force to open and close. By the a/c unit in the main area, the wall was separated, exposing the inside of the wall where a child could stick their hand. As well as being unsightly and unsafe that the overall room was in disrepair. Booking.com as well Sun and Sands advertise free Wi-Fi. However, at no time were we able to connect to Wi-Fi. The staff said they were completely booked, and this was the reason, that's the fault of the guests cmwho can not connect to a service that is not available. The staff offered to connect a personal laptop to the staff Wi-Fi. Also, when attempting to get ice and going off the list of available ice makers from the hotels provided list. Ice makers were not on the listed floors. When asking staff for a cart for luggage, the answer was they are in "use." When speaking with other guests about if they had found a cart for luggage their response were "good luck". This is not the first time I have stayed at this hotel. However, it will be the last, the room was large, close to the beach. However, the safety issues and of general disrepair of the room won't be a return guest.

Liked: The beds were very comfortable & the location was wonderful
Disliked: The hotel has clearly seen better days. Dead roaches by the gym. The heated pool was lukewarm & provided no seating furniture. Our room had no toilet paper upon check in & the front desk line was consistently busy. When I went to request some from the front desk, the staff member pulled 2 rooms from a drawer & handed them to me. An alarm went off in the hallway on Thursday late morning but none of the staff were helpful. Again, the front desk line was busy. I definitely will not recommend staying here.

Overall great experience and worth...

Liked: The reviews online reallyDon’t match up to the place. I won’t lie we were hesitant, but we loved the place! We ended up needing to add to extra nights to our visit and they were nothing but accommodating. Our original room was a “ cheaper room” and so we paid for the new room for 2 nights and they upgraded our original room for free. We were on the 15th floor with a beautiful ocean view. A lot of comments about the floors being wet or sandy… yeah your by the beach! And there is 2 pools.. what do people expect on a resort 5 steps from the beach. Any time we were in the halls or lobby , SOMEONE was cleaning. Whether it was mopping or vacuuming. So they do try to keep up with the mess people leave when they’re in and out. Nick the manager is very friendly ( again another thing the reviews were wrong about ) the room itself was clean and anytime we needed a quick sweep or garbages emptied they’d send someone in to straighten up. Honestly for the price, and the view, you can’t beat it. People were pissed about parking fees and the $150 damage hold they put on your card , they do that ANYWHERE. when you travel enough you because prepared for these things and when they DONT Happen , THATS the plus. Even the little restaurant in front is good pricing and good food! We were surprised to be honest. Everyone we met who worked there was extremely pleasant and honestly we’d go back for another visit!
Disliked: We didn’t have many complaints . The beds are on the firmer side and the rooms can use a bit more lighting but with beach front view you can keep your curtain open if your in your room during the day.
